Biography
Dr. Kathleen Saul: BA (French) and BS (Chemical Engineering), University of Notre Dame; MA (Management), Wharton
School of Business; MES (Environmental Studies), The Evergreen State College; Ph.D. (Energy and Environmental Policy), University of Delaware. She retired from active teaching in June 2024 at The Evergreen State College and has now turned her attention to educating a broader audience about the many interactions between policy, technology, economics/investments, energy source and resources, climate change, and the impacts on society. While at Evergreen, she also guided almost 50 students through their master’s thesis work. Dr Saul has written case studies for Evergreen’s Enduring Legacies Native Cases program, focusing on energy topics of interest to Native American Tribes, as well as papers for academic journals. She serves as a Senior Research Fellow and editor for the Foundation for Renewable Energy and Environment (FREE). She continues to press Washington State legislators and agencies to adopt policies that support a just and equitable transition away from fossil fuels.
