Dr. Harsha T Hegde

Dr Harsha T Hegde is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Products and Utilisation at Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. With over seventeen years of experience in forestry education, research, and extension, his expertise includes non-timber forest resources, sustainable management & utilization of forest resources, processing, and value addition of forest products. Dr Hegde aims to map & tap the genetically superior non-wood forest product resource for domestication, standardise stakeholder-friendly processing techniques for high-value native tree-based products to improve rural livelihoods, and establish institutional mechanisms and community stewardship for value chain creation in the forestry domain.
