Biography

Dr. Amritpal Mehta is working as an Assistant Professor (Department of Plant Pathology) at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda. He has completed his PhD (Plant Pathology) degree from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, India. Dr Mehta has extensive expertise in aetiology, pathogenic diversity, host resistance, epidemiology, molecular plant pathology, and eco-friendly disease management, developing sustainable strategies that improve crop productivity, reduce yield losses, and promote environmental sustainability. Dr. Mehta has published more than 30 research papers in national and international journals, 2 book chapters, 2 patents, and 1 lab manual. His research contributions have been recognized through the Young Plant Pathologist Award and two Best Poster Awards presented at national/international conferences.
