Dr. Ramesh Raj Pant

Dr. Ramesh Raj Pant is an Assistant Professor at the Central Department of Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Since 2011, he has advanced interdisciplinary teaching, applied research and policy engagement in the Himalayan region. His expertise includes ecology, hydro-geochemistry, water governance and trans-boundary hydro-diplomacy, with emphasis on legislation, institutional dynamics and community resilience. He has authored over 75 first‑author papers and 100 coauthored publications, contributed to international book chapters and served in editorial roles. His research integrates water quality, climate resilience and sustainable development, strengthening evidence‑based environmental policy and governance frameworks across Nepal and South Asia.
