Dr. Thiru Selvan

Dr. Thiru Selvan is an Associate Professor, Department of Forestry and Biodiversity, Tripura central University, India. He holds Ph.D. in Forestry from Dr Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Himachal Pradesh. Prior to joining academia, served as a Forest Officer. Has more than 25 years of professional experience, working as a researcher, forest manager, educator, and mentor in forestry and environmental sciences. He has led seven externally funded research projects, more than 60 publications in reputed journals, Books, Book chapters, e-Book, Technical Manual, Out Reach Publication and magazine articles and successfully guided 51 postgraduate and 02 doctoral research and member of many national and international Bodies/organizations. Dr. Selvan is a Fellow of the Indian Ecological Society and a recipient of prestigious national research awards. He also serves as Co-Editor of Frontiers in Environmental Science and Associate Editor of Ecological Indicators, contributing actively to scholarly publishing and peer review.
