Biography
Prof. T. V. K. Singh, the retired Dean of Agriculture at PJTSAU, is a distinguished Fellow of several prestigious societies, including the Royal Society of Entomology and the Linnean Society. He was the first ICAR Emeritus Scientist at PJTSAU and received the inaugural Dr. Y. Ramachandra Rao Memorial Award for his contributions to ecological and ethological research, along with the University Meritorious Teacher Award in 1996 and the A.P. State Meritorious Teacher Award in 2007. A prolific writer, Dr. Singh has authored over 170 research papers, 13 books, and delivered numerous keynote addresses, participating in 35 symposia and workshops focused on agricultural entomology. He organized three national
seminars on entomology and chaired the International Conference on Plant Health Management (ICPHM) 2023. He is a life member of various professional organizations related to entomology and pest management, served as a QRT member for rice, cotton, and IPM, and contributed as a content reviewer for the "Plantix" app. Currently, he is the Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Plant Protection and on the editorial board of Insect Environment.
